How to Create a GPay / UPI Payment Link (and Get Paid With One Tap)

If you sell anything — products, a service, a course — the gap between "yes, I'll take it" and actually getting paid is where sales quietly die. A UPI or Google Pay payment link closes that gap. The customer taps, their payment app opens with your details already filled in, and the money lands in your account. No card machine, no invoice software, no website.

Here's how to make one, and how to put it where people actually see it.

What a UPI payment link actually is

A UPI payment link is just a web link that opens the customer's payment app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, any UPI app) with your UPI ID (VPA), your name, and optionally the amount already filled in. They confirm, and it's done.

The simplest version follows this format:

upi://pay?pa=yourname@bank&pn=Your%20Business&am=500&cu=INR
  • pa = your UPI ID (e.g. yourshop@okhdfcbank)
  • pn = your business name
  • am = amount (leave it out to let them enter it)
  • cu = currency (INR)

Leave the amount blank for a "pay what you owe" link, or set it for a fixed-price item.

Three ways to create one

Method Best for Notes
Your bank / UPI app Quick personal collections Most apps have a "request money" or "payment link" option
A payment provider (Razorpay, Cashfree, BharatPe, etc.) Businesses wanting receipts & tracking Gives you a hosted link + a dashboard of payments
The raw UPI link above Free, instant, no signup Works in any UPI app; no receipts or reconciliation

For most small businesses, a payment provider is worth it — you get a clean hosted link, automatic receipts, and a record of who paid. For one-off collections, the raw UPI link is free and works immediately.

The real problem: nobody can find your link

A payment link is only useful where a buying decision happens. Pasting it once in a WhatsApp chat isn't enough. It needs to live next to the thing you're selling.

That's where a QR page earns its place. Put your payment link:

  • On each item in your AI catalogue, so a customer can browse and pay
  • As the "Pay now" button on your AI pitch page, right under your offer
  • On your AI form, so a booking or order flows straight into payment

Now your payment link isn't buried in a chat — it's one tap away at the exact moment someone decides to buy, behind a QR code you can print on packaging, a poster or a card.

Put it behind a QR code in minutes

  1. Create your UPI / GPay payment link (raw link or via a provider).
  2. Build a free QRYZEN page — catalogue, pitch or form.
  3. Add the payment link as your pay button or per-product order action.
  4. Share the page with one scan. Edit the link anytime; the printed code keeps working.

You don't need a website or a developer. You need your products in one place and a tap-to-pay link sitting right beside them.

Create a free QRYZEN catalogue or pitch page and put your payment link where it actually gets used.

Payments are processed by your chosen UPI app or provider — QRYZEN hosts the page that holds your link, not the transaction.
